The Fire Services Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems. Based in Dandenong South, servicing Victoria, this permanent full-time position involves the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire safety equipment, contributing to the overall safety standards of our projects and clients. Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair fire protection systems, including alarms and extinguishers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire safety equipment to ensure compliance with Australian standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with fire safety systems and implement effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate to integrate fire safety measures into building designs.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on fire safety protocols and equipment usage.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and advancements in fire safety technology.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in fire safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Fire Services Technician or in a similar role within the building and construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of Australian fire safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job site
