About the role
As our Senior Balance Sheet Management Analyst, you'll partner closely with the Head of Balance Sheet Management to help shape how NGM Group measures, manages and responds to financial risk.
This is more than a reporting role. You'll contribute to outcomes across interest rate risk, funds transfer pricing, stress testing and overall balance sheet management, while taking ownership of our Asset Liability Management (ALM) platform. With direct exposure to senior leaders and executive committees, you'll influence decisions, challenge the status quo and help strengthen our financial risk capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Balance Sheet Management outcomes across interest rate risk, stress testing, funds transfer pricing and balance sheet management.
- Manage and enhance the ALM platform, ensuring data, models and reporting remain accurate and fit for purpose.
- Deliver insights and reporting that support executive decision-making, committee discussions and regulatory requirements.
- Present analysis and recommendations to senior leaders and committees, helping shape financial risk decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement across financial risk methodologies, systems, controls and reporting.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Product and Technology teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Prepare governance documentation, testing evidence and committee papers to support robust risk management practices.
What we’re looking for
We're open to candidates from Treasury, Balance Sheet Management, Financial Risk, Market Risk, Banking Finance or similar analytical disciplines. While experience with Asset Liability Management (ALM) is important, we're equally interested in people who are naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems and want to influence how financial risk is managed.
You'll bring:
- Experience within Treasury, Financial Risk, Market Risk, Balance Sheet Management or a related financial services environment.
- Exposure to Asset Liability Management (ALM), interest rate risk, stress testing or related Treasury activities.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large datasets.
- Experience working with financial models, reporting frameworks and risk methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior leaders and committees.
- A curious mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and finding better ways of working.
- A relevant degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk, Mathematics or a related discipline.
Desirable experience:
- QRM or other ALM platforms.
- SQL, Power BI or data analytics tools.
