About the role

We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker who lives in and around the Wollongong Area to support a 43-year-old man with a Traumatic Brain Injury to remain living independently within his home.

Duties include but not limited to

  • Assistance with personal care tasks
  • Assistance with therapy tasks
  • Medication administration
  • Use of mobility equipment
  • Light domestic assistance
  • Meal preparation
  • Community participation

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would get the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

Job Type: Contractor

What you need

  • Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
  • Current references
  • Mobile phone
  • Current driver's licence and your own car with insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain (mandatory)
  • Working With Children Check – Paid (mandatory)
  • Certificate III (Ageing and Disability) or Equivalent

Days/Hours available

  • Thursday 3:00pm – 9:30pm
  • Friday fortnightly 3:00pm – 9:30pm
  • Sunday fortnightly 7:00am - 9:00am or 8:00am - 10:00am
