About the role
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Consultant and Residential Care Manager, you will work alongside another Clinical Nurse to oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality clinical care for 72 Residents. This hands-on leadership role will see you guide the nursing and personal care team, coordinate clinical care and contribute to a supportive environment for residents, families and staff.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and supporting Registered Nurses, Personal Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses in the delivery of high-quality care
- Coordinating safe, effective and evidence-based clinical care
- Mentoring staff and contributing to their performance, development and teamwork
- Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families, representatives and internal stakeholders
- Driving continuous improvement across clinical care and service delivery
- Ensuring assessments, care plans, clinical documentation and reviews are completed accurately and within required timeframes
- Maintaining compliance with aged care standards, regulatory obligations, organisational policies and clinical governance requirements
This is a permanent part-time position at 0.8 FTE, working 64 hours per fortnight across an alternating roster. Week one is Wednesday to Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, and week two is Wednesday to Sunday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm.
About you
The successful candidate will be passionate about the aged care industry and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will bring sound clinical skills, a collaborative leadership style and the confidence to support staff, manage competing priorities and communicate sensitively with residents and their families.
You will demonstrate RSL Care SA’s values in your day-to-day approach, working openly and constructively as part of the broader team. You will be adaptable, respectful and solutions-focused, with a genuine belief in shared accountability and working together to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
To be considered, you will hold:
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Relevant Australian residential aged care experience
This opportunity would suit an experienced Clinical Nurse or a Registered Nurse with 4+ years’ residential aged care experience who is ready to take the next step into a clinical leadership position.
