I'm partnering with a Top 8 accounting and advisory firm with 1,300+ staff nationally, currently looking to strengthen its leadership team in Newcastle. Following internal growth and structural changes, they're specifically looking for experienced Managers who can bridge the gap between Senior and Partner level while helping mentor and develop the next generation of accountants.

• This is a role where you'll have genuine ownership of client relationships while working closely with approachable Partners on strategic advisory engagements.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a quality client portfolio while leading and developing a team of accountants.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing SME and privately owned business clients across a diverse range of industries.
• Acting as a trusted adviser on tax, business structuring and commercial matters.
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns across a range of entity types.
• Leading, mentoring and developing Senior and Intermediate Accountants.
• Working alongside Partners on advisory projects, workflow planning and client strategy.
• Helping shape the future growth of the Newcastle office through leadership and coaching.

About You

We're keen to speak with professionals who have:

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong Business Services experience within Australian public practice.
• Current Manager experience, or an exceptional Assistant Manager ready to take the next step.
• Excellent technical capability across tax and compliance, with confidence in client-facing advisory work.
• A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing people.
