Great communication isn’t just about telling people what’s happening. It’s about building trust, creating understanding and helping people navigate change with confidence.
We’re looking for a Communications & Engagement Partner to lead the communications and stakeholder engagement approach for TasNetworks’ next Enterprise Agreement. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you’ll develop the strategy, shape the narrative and create and deliver the materials needed to support clear, transparent and meaningful engagement throughout the negotiation process.
You’ll be the person who can turn complexity into clarity, build confidence through communication and create opportunities for genuine two-way engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive communications and engagement program that supports the successful negotiation of TasNetworks’ Enterprise Agreement.
Working Across The Business, You’ll
- Develop and deliver an end-to-end communications and engagement strategy and implementation plan.
- Design meaningful engagement opportunities that encourage open, transparent and constructive conversations.
- Partner with leaders, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across the organisation.
- Deliver timely communications throughout the Enterprise Agreement negotiation process, ensuring employees and stakeholders are informed at every stage.
- Write, edit and produce content across a range of channels, including emails, articles, presentations, leader updates, FAQs and supporting resources.
- Design professional documents and presentations using Microsoft 365, and create posters and campaign materials using Canva or similar platforms.
- Build and distribute internal email communications through Campaign Monitor or similar platforms.
- Develop scripts and speaking points, and plan, film and edit video content for internal distribution.
- Translate complex industrial, technical and business information into communications that are clear, engaging and easy to understand.
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employee representatives and industry partners.
- Contribute to protecting and strengthening TasNetworks’ reputation through thoughtful, strategic communication.
About You
You’re an experienced communications professional who knows that the best engagement starts with listening.
You can think strategically while also taking responsibility for practical delivery. You’re comfortable partnering with senior leaders, managing competing priorities and producing high-quality communications across a range of channels and formats.
You’ll Also Bring
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering strategic communications and stakeholder engagement programs.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex or technical information for different audiences.
- Experience creating communication materials using Microsoft 365, Canva or similar design platforms.
- Experience using digital communication platforms, including Campaign Monitor or similar email tools.
- Experience scripting, filming and editing simple video content.
- Experience managing reputation, organisational change or high-profile communication initiatives.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to build relationships at every level of an organisation.
