Our client is a leading ASX-listed Australian financial services firm. The asset management part of the business has experienced exponential growth in funds under management. Key to this is the private credit fund’s management platform. Initially a principal investment book, the fund has evolved to now run external capital from global and domestic LP’s.

The credit investments portfolio invests across structured finance, middle market opportunistic credit and more recently sponsor direct lending. The business is focused on growing its capabilities in the sponsor and corporate lending space with competitive advantage in the middle market. This is an Australian firm with global presence and rapid growth, proven through recent offshore acquisitions.

We are seeking candidates at the Associate level, with 2-5 years’ experience in a leveraged finance role from a bank. We are also open to consider candidates from general industrials investment banking teams who are seeking to pursue a career in private credit. The role will work on unitranche, TLB and senior secured corporate transactions in the middle market, across bilateral or club opportunities. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end execution and portfolio management of these deals. Given the breadth of this credit investment platform, whilst the hire will be focused on direct lending, it is expected they will also work across other investments in the structured finance and opportunistic space. The purpose of this is to create well-rounded credit investors who are able to assess a range of opportunities in the market, this is a key differentiator of this opportunity in the wider market.
