Hutchies' Crane & Hoist Team are actively seeking skilled and motivated Electrical Technicians to join our hardworking team based at the Hutchies Yard in Ormeau, QLD, on a full time permanent basis.

This role reports to the Hutchies Crane & Hoist Manager and Team, working closely together to achieve our strategic goals objectives and contributing to the success of our projects.

# Responsibilities

As an Electrical Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, servicing and repairs on tower cranes, personnel and material hoists, and associated lifting equipment
• Diagnosing electrical, control and automation faults and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
• Conducting routine inspections, testing and preventative maintenance in accordance with Australian Standards and Hutchies procedures
• Assisting with the assembly, commissioning, decommissioning and refurbishment of cranes and hoists in the yard and on project sites
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
• Developing, modifying and upgrading electrical panels, control circuits and associated systems
• Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting completed projects and electrical installations
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, service reports and compliance documentation
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Collaborating with the Crane & Hoist Team and project stakeholders to support safe and efficient project delivery
• Contributing to the ongoing reliability, performance and improvement of Hutchies' crane and hoist flee

# Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A current Queensland Electrical Licence and Trade Qualification as an Electrician
• Previous experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, repair and installation work
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Current Driver Licence
• Construction Industry White Card
• A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• A down to earth, friendly and professional approach to your work
• Comfortable with working at heights
• Computer literate

Experience with tower cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, industrial machinery, PLC’s, VSD’s or control systems will be highly regarded, but is not essential
