Racing Queensland is the statutory body responsible for leading and supporting Queensland’s Thoroughbred, Greyhound, and Harness racing industries.
With participants and stakeholders located throughout metropolitan, regional and rural Queensland, the racing industry makes a significant contribution to the States economy and local communities. Key accountabilities
- Lead Racing Queensland's enterprise risk, compliance, assurance and internal audit functions.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to executive leadership and governance committees on risk, compliance and assurance matters.
- Drive the ongoing development of governance, risk and assurance frameworks that support organisational performance and resilience.
- Influence strategic decision-making through the provision of high-quality risk analysis, advice and reporting.
- Oversee the internal audit, compliance assurance and enterprise risk reporting activities across the organisation.
- Champion a strong risk-aware culture and strengthen enterprise-wide risk ownership and accountability.
- Build effective relationships with executives, industry stakeholders, auditors and governance forums to drive positive organisational outcomes.
