About The Role

What if your deep knowledge of atmospheric science could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about our planet's most complex systems? We're looking for Atmospheric Science experts to develop and evaluate advanced scientific problems — helping train the next generation of AI models to think more rigorously about climate, weather, and environmental systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and scientists who want to put their expertise to work in a new and impactful way. No AI background needed — just genuine mastery of atmospheric science and a passion for scientific precision.

What You'll Do

• Design, solve, and review advanced atmospheric and environmental science problems with real-world relevance
• Apply your expertise in climate modeling, meteorology, ecology, or sustainability to create complex, nuanced problem statements
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to sharpen AI reasoning in your field
• Evaluate AI-generated scientific content for accuracy, depth, and methodological rigor
• Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific clarity and correctness
• Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Master's or PhD in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field
• Strong expertise in at least one of: climate modeling, atmospheric dynamics, ecology, or sustainability science
• Proficient in Python or R for research or scientific computing
• Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex concepts with clarity and precision
• Detail-oriented, rigorous, and committed to scientific accuracy
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation workflows
• Background in interdisciplinary environmental research
• Familiarity with AI tools or machine learning concepts
• Prior experience in science communication, peer review, or curriculum development
