Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a pivotal leadership role across finance operations, financial reporting, compliance and governance. You'll lead a proficient finance team, ensuring the integrity of our financial data, delivering accurate and timely reporting, and driving continuous improvement through automation, AI and innovative finance technologies.
This role is ideal for a tech astute finance professional who combines strong technical accounting expertise with a passion for leadership, process improvement and delivering meaningful business outcomes.
What you'll do
Lead financial accounting, reporting, compliance and governance across the business.
Deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial and management reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring strong controls, compliance and financial accuracy.
Manage statutory reporting requirements, external audits, tax compliance, ASIC obligations and regulatory requirements for Australia and New Zealand entities.
Oversee payroll governance and compliance with related legislation and taxation requirements.
Drive effective working capital management, including short-term cash flow forecasting and cash controls.
Lead the annual insurance renewal process and coordinate external audit activities across the finance function.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, improve reporting quality and increase efficiency.
Leverage emerging technologies, automation and AI solutions to enhance finance operations and reporting capabilities.
Support the Head of Finance in delivering projects that strengthen governance, improve performance and enable future growth.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
What you'll bring
CA, CPA or internationally recognised equivalent accounting qualification.
Demonstrated experience leading financial accounting and reporting functions within a complex or global business environment.
Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with sound commercial acumen.
Proven experience managing statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance and regulatory obligations.
Strong understanding of cash flow management, working capital and financial controls.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong systems capability, with Dynamics 365 experience highly regarded.
Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
