Administrative Officer - Monash Lung, Sleep, Allergy & Immunology (MLSAI)

Full-time & Part-time opportunities available

About the Role

Monash Health is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Administrators to join the MLSAI Outpatient Services team. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, providing a professional and welcoming experience while supporting a busy specialist service.

You’ll play a key role across multiple service areas including Specialist Outpatients, Sleep Centre, and Respiratory Lab.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service via phone and face-to-face interactions

Manage high-volume inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently

Book and coordinate patient appointments from referrals and enquiries

Maintain accurate patient records and databases

Process billing, Medicare claims, and payments (EFTPOS/credit card)

Prepare and manage electronic patient files

Provide administrative support to clinical and departmental staff

Respond to patient and referrer enquiries with clarity and professionalism

Ensure reception and clinical spaces are maintained to a high standard

About You

You are a proactive and organised administrator who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys helping people. You will bring:

Strong customer service and reception experience

Excellent phone manner and communication skills

Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced setting

High attention to detail and accuracy

Confidence using Microsoft Office and databases

Professionalism, discretion, and strong work ethic

Experience in healthcare or medical administration (desirable but not essential)
