The Role

Our client is seeking experienced Freedom of Information ( FOI) Officers/Lawyers to work on secondment with a high profile federal government department.

The Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be required to:

• undertake reviews of FOI matters from initial receipt to decision making accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) ( FOI Act) and our client’s FOI Business Rules;
• liaise and engage with key stakeholders including other government agencies; and
• have strong analytical skills and attention to detail to enable you to effectively and pragmatically review potentially moderately complex FOI cases.

The Requirements

Previous experience working as an FOI Officer/Lawyer in a federal government department, knowledge and understanding of the FOI Act and a Baseline clearance is essential.
