THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a genuine love of horses and strong skills in riding, handling, and training thoroughbreds.

In this hands-on role, you will play a vital part in the daily care and development of our horses, ensuring they receive the highest standard of attention and welfare. Your responsibilities will include feeding, watering, exercising, paddock and stable management, and monitoring the overall health and wellbeing of the horses. Working closely with our Clerks team, you will help prepare horses for race days and barrier trials, contributing directly to their performance and success on the track.

You will be required to work at all venues, primarily Warwick Farm and you must be available to work weekends when required.

To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:

  • Excellent leadership skills with clear and professional communication
  • Strong work ethic and proven management skills
  • Sound knowledge of horse care, health, and welfare
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time appropriately
  • A resilient, tenacious and action-oriented approach
  • Possession of a driver’s licence and ability to drive with horse float trailer
  • Supervise and assist with troublesome horses, loading horses into gates, chasing and catching loose horses.
