Are you a passionate Chef looking for a flexible role where you can make a real difference? Journey Early Learning is seeking a Casual Chef to support our centres across the Ballarat region , including Lucas, Lucas Rise, Delacombe, Ballarat East and Sebastopol .

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values flexibility and is passionate about preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support children's growth, development and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Casual Chef, you'll provide support across our Ballarat centres, preparing nutritious meals and snacks that meet children's dietary and nutritional requirements. You'll play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and organised kitchen while working closely with Centre Leadership Teams to deliver a positive mealtime experience for every child.

No two days will be the same, giving you the opportunity to work with a variety of welcoming teams while making a meaningful impact across multiple centres.

About You

Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally within Early Childhood Education, schools, aged care or a similar environment

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain if required)

Knowledge of nutrition and allergy-safe food preparation for children

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

Reliable, adaptable and willing to travel between our Ballarat region centres
