Join a high-performing Reputation, Government & Industry Affairs team and help shape advocacy on some of Australia's most significant technology, consumer and digital policy issues. We are working with a top 20 ASX-listed company to appoint their new Government Relations & Industry Affairs Manager.

Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, you will work on policy issues including AI, data privacy, digital regulation and consumer technology, while providing strategic advice across a large and complex consumer facing business. You do not need to be an expert in these fields (although that could be nice) but you do need to be a gun public policy person.

• Support public policy development and strategic government relations across technology, digital and consumer policy issues.
• Develop advocacy strategies, policy submissions and executive briefing materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government, regulators, industry bodies and consumer stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice to commercial, legal and technology teams on public policy risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with communications and corporate affairs colleagues to deliver integrated advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
• Champion the effective use of emerging technologies and AI tools to strengthen policy development, research and stakeholder engagement.

Here's More About You

• Demonstrated experience developing policy positions, advocacy strategies and executive briefing material on complex policy and regulatory issues.
• Strong understanding of government processes and the Australian public policy landscape.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across government, regulators and complex internal environments.
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, digital regulation and the application of AI in your work practice
• Approximately 5-8 years' experience in government relations, public policy, regulatory affairs or corporate affairs.
• Tertiary qualifications in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Business, Communications or a related discipline.
