Test Engineer (baseline/NV1)

• Initial 6 month assignment (possibility of extension)

• Minimum baseline and/or NV1 clearance

Green Light are looking for a Test Analyst (baseline) to assist in the delivery of a large program of work. The role is responsible for the testing activities on large transformation project and ensuring that all assigned technology solutions are delivered to agreed quality standards and within the allocated timeframe.

This role does require an active AGSVA baseline clearance at a minimum. Consultants that are Australian Citizens and willing to obtain a baseline clearance will be considered.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience testing Azure data platforms and services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, and Data Lake environments.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, data migration, and data validation methodologies.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across project and business teams.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and manage data testing activities in accordance with agreed testing frameworks, standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate data quality issues and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, testing strategies, and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage the timely delivery of Azure data testing outcomes, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data across cloud-based solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for data integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, data migrations, and reporting solutions.
• Perform source-to-target data validation, reconciliation testing, and data quality assessments across Azure data platforms.
• Provide subject matter expertise and technical analysis to validate Azure data services and ensure delivered solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Monitor, track, and report on testing progress, defects, risks, and issues, ensuring testing activities remain aligned with project schedules.
• Collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify, investigate, and resolve data-related defects.
• Escalate testing risks, data quality concerns, and delivery issues throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and support continuous improvement of testing processes.
