Construction Lawyer - Sydney – 3+ Month contract

Role Overview

Elevate has partnered with one of Australia’s leading real-estate groups to onboard an experienced Construction Lawyer for a contract opportunity within a high-performing in-house legal team in Sydney. This role offers a hybrid working environment and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced legal professionals on high-profile matters, supporting a range of major construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on a range of construction and infrastructure projects and related legal matters
• Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts and project documentation
• Provide commercially focused legal advice on project delivery, risk allocation, and contractual issues
• Support project teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist with the identification and management of legal and commercial risks
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors where required

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 6+ years PQE preferred with strong front-end construction law experience gained in private practice and/or an in-house environment
• Demonstrated experience advising on construction contracts and major projects
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills
• Ability to work independently and operate effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Previous in-house experience will be highly regarded
• Ability to commence at short notice is preferred
