One of our closest clients is looking for a Construction Lawyer (1-3 PQE) to join a highly regarded specialist practice acting across the construction, infrastructure, engineering and energy sectors.

The firm is recognised for advising a broad range of participants in the built environment, including contractors, developers, engineers, architects, insurers, government entities, financiers and multinational corporations.

With a strong reputation in the market, the team has been involved in some of Australia's most significant projects spanning major infrastructure, renewable energy, power transmission, transport, commercial developments, defence, healthcare and data centres. The firm has advised on projects including rail and transport infrastructure, renewable energy developments, transmission networks, major sporting venues, hospitals and large-scale commercial assets.

The Role

Working closely with experienced construction and infrastructure lawyers, you will gain exposure to a mix of:

  • Front-end construction and project advisory work
  • Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts
  • Procurement and risk allocation advice
  • Project delivery and contract administration issues
  • Construction disputes and contentious matters
  • Advising clients across infrastructure, energy and commercial development projects

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • 1-3 years' post-qualification experience in construction, projects, commercial litigation or infrastructure law
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
  • A genuine interest in the construction, engineering and energy sectors
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative specialist team
