Whitsunday Regional Council is seeking a Shute Harbour Support Officer to provide operational and administrative support across the Shute Harbour Marine Terminal. This is a unique opportunity to work at one of the region's key tourism gateways, supporting operators, visitors, contractors and cruise ship activities while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the terminal.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing operational and administrative support across the Shute Harbour Marine Terminal.
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the terminal and supporting operators, contractors and service providers.
- Coordinating and supporting cruise ship visit activities, including stakeholder liaison and passenger movement logistics.
- Managing customer enquiries, bookings and terminal communications.
- Monitoring and responding to the shared inbox, telephone enquiries and general correspondence.
- Assisting with procurement, reporting, records management and financial administration.
- Supporting terminal functions and events through planning, coordination and onsite assistance.
- Assisting with routine maintenance coordination and contractor liaison.
- Supporting compliance with operational, safety and environmental requirements.
- Providing flexible operational support during peak periods, weekends, public holidays and major events.
About You
You are a highly organised and adaptable professional with excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage a broad range of responsibilities. You enjoy working with people, solving problems and contributing to a positive visitor experience.
You Will Bring
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Administrative experience, including records management and correspondence.
- The ability to work independently while supporting a small team.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Confidence working in a dynamic operational environment with changing priorities
Essential
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of applications
