About the firm and the role

MRA Search is seeking an experienced dispute resolution lawyer to join the Sydney office of a leading international law firm with a globally recognised practice across transport, energy and infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to join a firm whose international pedigree and sector focus set it apart from the traditional full-service firms, and to work directly alongside a partner with over 20 years of Asia-Pacific experience who is recognised as a leading lawyer in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.

The role sits within the firm's Dispute Resolution Group in Sydney and spans contentious, non-contentious, regulatory and commercial matters across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, including:

• Cross-border international arbitration across Australia, Southeast Asia, India and Northeast Asia, including Singapore-seated arbitrations
• Transport disputes across shipping, aviation, logistics, charterparty matters, commodity transactions and infrastructure claims
• Insurance matters including online insurance platforms, consumer insurance products, regulatory compliance and investigations
• Hotels and hospitality litigation and advisory, including restraint of trade matters and regulatory issues

About you

• 3–5 years' post-qualification experience in dispute resolution, commercial and/or insurance litigation, and/or international arbitration.
• Experience at a leading domestic or international law firm.
• A genuine interest in transport, insurance, energy and cross-border matters.
• Australian-qualified with good academic credentials
• The ability to work autonomously within a close-knit, collegiate team
