Step up to Senior, with a real path to Manager

This is not a seat-warming role. From day one you will lead client work end to end, advise business owners directly, and have a direct line to the Partners rather than three layers between you and a decision.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Accountant you will be a key player in the firm's next phase of growth, working across business services and tax, including:

• Leading and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
• Preparing and reviewing BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG across a range of companies and trusts
• Working with Partners to provide tax planning and advisory services to clients
• Developing and managing client relationships, providing expert advice that adds long term value
• Liaising with statutory authorities on behalf of clients
• Supporting, coaching and helping train junior team members
• Contributing to a culture of continuous learning through seminars, team meetings and events

What we are looking for

• Minimum 4 years experience in a Chartered Accounting practice. This is the floor. You need to be someone the Partners can confidently leave to run their own client work.
• CA qualified, or well progressed toward completion
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
• Strong across accounting software, including APS, MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build trust with clients
• Strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage your own workload and deadlines
• Proactive, self motivated and genuinely client focused
