The Department of Industry, Science and Resources (DISR), is seeking experienced Project Managers to support the delivery of major ICT projects within the CIO Division.

This role will focus on enabling critical ICT initiatives that support Australian industry, innovation and economic growth.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating complex ICT projects and program initiatives;
  • Providing governance, assurance and reporting across complex project environments;
  • Representing the team in governance forums and delivering status reporting;
  • Managing project resources to deliver high-performing, motivated teams; and
  • Applying project management tools and methodologies across areas such as risk, quality, financials, procurement and delivery strategy

Key Requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading complex ICT projects/programs within the Federal Government; and
  • Experience applying project management frameworks including Waterfall and Hybrid Agile

Other details and requirements include:

  • Baseline Security Clearance (must be held at commencement)
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory

  • Location: Canberra (onsite)
  • Working Arrangements: Primarily onsite, with remote options considered case-by-case
  • Start Date: 1 July 2026
  • Duration: 12 months initial contract + 2 x 12-month extensions
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
