Applications Engineer – Industrial Equipment & Engineered Solutions (Client facing)

Can you walk into a customer's site, understand their problem, and develop the right engineered solution?

We're partnering with a respected Australian engineered to order client who is seeking an experienced Product/Applications or Sales Engineer to become the critical link between customers, engineering, production to yield commercial outcomes.

Knowing how engine systems operate in the field, asking the right questions, gathering technical requirements and working with engineering teams to develop practical, commercially viable solutions. You will walk the client journey, working with them for equipment selection, sizing, and technical recommendations and package this up in quotations & proposals.

The successful candidate will enjoy spending time with customers and their representative engineering teams working towards translating their operational needs into engineered outcomes. You'll work closely with internal design and manufacturing teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially practical and capable of being delivered successfully.

Experience within industrial equipment, engines and engine systems or heat echangers and/or cooling systems or in a related engineered-to-order environment that supplies major users of engines/generators from data centres to automotive, heavy moving or fixed equipment across transport, agriculture or mining (or work with one of these sectors directly) will be highly regarded.

We're looking for someone who combines technical aptitude with strong communication skills, commercial awareness. Someone who enjoys understanding how things work and helping customers find the right solution.
