Commencing August, 2026

The Geelong College is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced 1st Boys Tennis Coach to lead our premier boys' tennis program for the 2026/2027 APS season.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate coach to develop talented student-athletes, foster a positive team culture, and contribute to a competitive APS tennis program. Working closely with the Director of Sport, Teacher in Charge of Tennis and Strength & Conditioning staff, you will play a key role in the technical, tactical, and personal development of our students.

The role includes pre-season training from Term 3, 2026, with the APS season running from Term 4, 2026 through to the end of Term 1, 2027.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Elite coaching and/or high-level playing experience in tennis.
  • Tennis Australia Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (or equivalent).
  • Experience coaching children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to developing young athletes.
  • The ability to foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team environment.

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee status) or VIT Registration, or ability to obtain
  • Completion of College anaphylaxis training (or accredited equivalent)
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID011), CPR (HLTAID009) and Asthma Management certification
  • Completion of the Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and other Obligations module (Victorian Department of Education and Training)
  • Provide Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
  • Victorian Driver’s Licence
