About the Role

Our client partner, a leading Tier 1 Mining Company is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee coal quality and dewatering activities across a large-scale mining operation.

Working an 8/6 roster, you will provide hands-on leadership to ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with operational and coal quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily coal quality and dewatering activities
  • Coordinate crews, equipment and operational priorities
  • Monitor coal quality requirements and production targets
  • Manage pit water, pumping and dewatering activities
  • Ensure work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
  • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and shift handovers
  • Identify operational risks and implement suitable controls
  • Work closely with production, maintenance and technical teams
  • Support workforce performance, development and accountability

About You

  • Previous supervisory experience within open-cut coal mining
  • Strong understanding of coal quality and dewatering activities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational mining crews
  • Sound knowledge of mining safety systems and procedures
  • Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant qualifications and current site-required competencies
  • A practical and safety-focused leadership style
