A bit about the role
We are looking for a Sustainability Manager to lead Hacer’s Sustainability function, based at our South Melbourne HQ. Reporting to our General Counsel, you'll also work closely with our Head of People & Culture and our site-based construction teams to embed sustainability into the way we deliver our projects. In this role, you'll also collaborate across the business with our EHS, Pre-Construction and site teams to lead the delivery of our sustainability strategy, ensuring we continue to meet our regulatory, contractual and strategic sustainability objectives.
The responsibilities of your role will include but not limited to;
- Continuing to develop and implement an ESG strategy that reflects our commitment to sustainability and aligns with industry best practices and standards.
- Working with internal stakeholders to integrate ESG considerations into decision-making processes and business operations.
- Collaborating with project teams to actively engage with the communities in which they operate, fostering positive relationships.
- Working with the commercial team and General Counsel on social supply chain solutions including our reporting requirements with Modern Slavery.
A bit about you
You will have;
- Proven experience in Sustainability/ESG management or related fields, with a strong understanding of sustainability principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build consensus around ESG initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
