Road Maintenance Worker - Road Network

- Band 3 + Allowances $35.30 - $37.28 + super
- Based out of our Wendouree Depot
About The Role
We are currently looking for two Road Maintenance Workers to work within our Road Network team to complete a variety of civil maintenance activities on sealed roads, servicing the Ballarat municipality to provide safer roads and access ways to all community members.
This full-time role will enjoy a 9-day fortnight and will be responsible for the delivery of services as directed by the Supervisor Road Network for the maintenance of the City’s road infrastructure assets including;
- Sealed Roads – Pothole repairs, edge repairs
- Road shoulder repairs and maintenance
- Traffic management set up and monitoring, ensuring daily records are accurately maintained
About You
You are a reliable and safety-focused team player with experience in road maintenance, construction, civil works, or a related field. You take pride in delivering high-quality work and have a strong commitment to workplace safety, customer service, and maintaining public infrastructure.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in road maintenance, asphalt, concreting, spray sealing, or general civil construction.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and a commitment to Occupational Health and Safety.
- The ability to operate plant and equipment relevant to road maintenance activities.
- Excavator, front end loader, skid steer, backhoe tickets (desirable)
- A current Victorian Driver Licence (MR/HR Licence desirable)
- Traffic Management accreditation (desirable)
- Basic computer and mobile device skills, including the ability to use applications for work orders, inspections, timesheets and communication.
- The ability to undertake physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward serving the community.
