Safety Advisor

Job details

Looking for a safety advisor for 4-6months work, permanently on a night shift roster out at our ANI project assisting subcontractors and personnel undertaking drainage/earthworks/tipping operations work scope from around early to mid August start timeframe.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the site.

Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.

Facilitate incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Assist with the development, review and implementation of Safe Work Procedures (SWPs).

Coordinate site safety audits and compliance inspections.

Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and training sessions.

Monitor compliance with the South Australian Work Health and Safety (Mines) legislation.

Support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Maintain accurate safety records, reports and documentation.

Work closely with operational teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and mining safety requirements.

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.

Ability to build positive working relationships with employees and contractors.

Current Driver's Licence.

Current First Aid Certificate (desirable).
