About the Role

A Legal Counsel position reporting directly to the GC, working alongside a small, close knit legal team. The role covers real estate transactional work, trust and SMSF advice, commercial agreement drafting, and support for enforcement and regulatory matters as the business grows, including input on an active credit fund licensing process. This is not routine conveyancing, that work is handled externally, this role is about the substantive front end work that underpins the business.

Day to day you will be across:

• Real estate transactional matters, trust and SMSF advice
• Commercial agreement drafting, review and file management
• Enforcement, distressed borrower and insolvency support alongside the collections team
• Regulatory change and compliance, including the business's credit fund licensing process
• Working closely with the General Counsel and a recently admitted junior lawyer

About You

You are an admitted lawyer with solid post admission experience, ideally with exposure to real estate, trust, SMSF, commercial or enforcement work. Beyond the technical skills, cultural fit is everything, available, affable and humble, commercially minded and solutions focused, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
