About the Role
The Branch Lead, will support the Branch Manager in the daily operation of the branch including product sales, member service, security, safety and ensuring the effective handling of Members' complaints in accordance with the Bank’s objectives. The Lead will ensure a superior member experience is delivered by promoting a sales culture through coaching, guidance and motivation and will work independently of the Regional Manager on an ongoing basis. You will provide leadership and supervision to the Everyday Banking team with an emphasis on staff competency and efficiency and may participate in business development activities and community affairs to increase the Banks' visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities in line with the strategic focus.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Branch Manager to manage and oversee daily operations and ensuring service excellence
- Monitor and supervise staff in delivering accurate, compliant, and member-focused service
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services across all AMB brands
- Mentoring staff to promote and cross-sell products in line with member needs and branch goals in line with AMB strategy and goals
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance as needed
- Ensure safety, security, and audit procedures are followed consistently
- Communicate updates and ensure staff have the tools and information to succeed
- Maintain excellence in reporting, compliance documentation, and feedback analysis
- Champion AMB’s values and help create a welcoming, high-performing business. Support the Regional Manager to achieve KPIs, monitor risk and operational controls (including section security, insurance limits, and KRIs), and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience and successful track record in retail banking
- Demonstrated Consumer Lending Experience
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Ability to manage change and support team development
- Solid organisational and time management abilities
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and accurate data entry
- A commitment to AMB’s culture and values, with a desire to lead by example
- FSR Tier 2 Accreditation
