Principal Project Officer, Quality Assurance

The Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) is seeking a Principal Project Officer to join the Quality Assurance. The Quality Assurance is responsible for activities that contribute to the quality assurance and implementation of the QCE and QCIA, including the endorsement, confirmation, and Applied syllabus quality assurance processes. The Unit also supports schools to certify students’ eligible for the QCIA and provides advice on QCE and QCIA policies and procedures.
What You Will Do
In the Principal Project Officer role, you will:
- Lead and manage teams of internal QCAA staff and casual assessors to support quality assurance processes for internal assessments in General and Applied subjects, Short courses and recognised studies.
- Lead and participate in teams to develop professional learning and development resources to support the implementation of the QCE and QCIA.
- Design and present training programs, workshops, seminars and support materials that assist schools to interpret policies and procedures for the quality assurance and reporting of results of internal assessment.
- Provide expert advice to Managers and Directors in the Curriculum Services Division and the Assessment, Reporting and ICT Division on matters related to the implementation of senior assessment programs, making judgements and certification systems.
- Liaise with Principal Education Officers and Learning Area Managers to enact quality assurance activities consistently and in accordance with policies and procedures and to identify, prioritise and support schools requiring additional assistance.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to assist the implementation of state-wide quality assurance processes that ensure comparable results are reported for senior certification to meet the requirements of the QCE and QCIA as well as recognised studies that may contribute to the QCE.
- Lead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
