About the Opportunity

BRG is seeking experienced Systems Engineers and Software Engineers with active Australian Government security clearances to support a range of complex Defence capability programs across Australia. We are working with Defence, Defence Industry and Federal Government clients delivering critical projects across areas including command and control, communications, ISR, cyber, autonomous systems, guided weapons, maritime, land, aerospace and integrated mission systems.

Whether your expertise lies in systems engineering, software development, systems integration, architecture, verification & validation, DevSecOps or model-based engineering, we are keen to speak with professionals looking to contribute to nationally significant Defence programs.

Key Details

• Location: Canberra, Adelaide, and Melbourne
• Engagement: Full-Time
• Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 p/a
• Security Clearance: Current

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering systems or software engineering across the full engineering lifecycle.
• Developing system requirements, functional specifications and engineering documentation.
• Designing, developing and integrating complex Defence systems and software solutions.
• Supporting systems architecture, interface design and technical planning.
• Conducting systems integration, verification, validation and acceptance activities.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, Defence stakeholders and industry partners.
• Applying Defence engineering standards, frameworks and best practices throughout project delivery.

To Be Successful You Will Have

• An active Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Experience delivering engineering outcomes within Defence, Defence Industry or Federal Government environments.
• Experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software Engineering on complex technical projects.
• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and engineering governance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
