The Group Learning & Development team partners with our businesses to build capability, strengthen leadership, support compliance, and create practical learning solutions that improve business performance.
About the Role
As the Group Learning & Development Partner, you will work with Freightways companies across Australia and New Zealand to identify capability needs, design practical learning solutions, facilitate engaging learning experiences, and support the successful implementation of learning initiatives.
You will work across the full learning lifecycle, from consultation and learning needs analysis through to design, facilitation, implementation and evaluation. You will also coach leaders, support organisational capability projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Freightways learning offering.
Responsibilities include
Facilitate leadership and other programmes, workshops and learning events across Australia.
Develop classroom, virtual and eLearning programmes.
Partner with business leaders and People & Culture teams to understand capability needs.
Coach leaders and subject matter experts to improve learning outcomes.
Lead and contribute to learning and organisational capability projects.
Promote a positive learning culture.
What you’ll bring
A strong understanding of how businesses operate, with the ability to quickly build credibility with leaders.
Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or other operational environments will be highly regarded.
Confidently facilitate leadership learning experiences, with experience in leadership circles to challenge thinking, encourage discussion and connect learning to real business outcomes.
Experience in partnering with stakeholders to identify capability needs and design practical learning solutions using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Effectively manage multiple learning initiatives while building trusted relationships across a diverse, multi-business environment.
Confidently use learning technologies, AI tools and data to create engaging learning experiences and continuously improve learning outcomes.
About You
- You are an experienced Learning and Development professional who is equally comfortable facilitating a leadership workshop, consulting with senior stakeholders, or designing engaging learning solutions.
- You have strong business acumen and understand that learning exists to improve organisational performance. You are naturally curious about how businesses operate and enjoy partnering with leaders to solve real business challenges.
- You are a confident facilitator who can build credibility with experienced leaders, encourage meaningful discussion, and create practical learning experiences that translate into workplace performance.
- You are organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple projects while maintaining high standards.
- You enjoy working collaboratively, embrace new technologies, and are excited by opportunities to use AI and digital learning tools to enhance the learner experience.
- Above all, you are passionate about helping people grow and thrive, while remaining pragmatic, commercially minded and focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.
