The ROLE

• Converts civil and structural engineering concepts into buildable designs, drawings and models.
• Creates shop drawings from engineering models and drawings.
• Produces 3D models to illustrate concepts and designs to stakeholders.
• Delivers drafting outputs that are compliant both with Australian standards and client specifications.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates and systems.
• Works collaboratively with project teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

About YOU

Must haves

• Diploma of Civil Construction Design or Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Highly proficient in Revit, Tekla or equivalent 3D modelling software.
• Strong technical drafting and design capability in structural and civil with a high attention to detail.
• Have knowledge of or able to quickly gain knowledge in -
• Materials Handling - in particular concrete and quarries operations
• Construction staging modelling and basic lift planning
• Engineering temporary works
• Practical knowledge of regulatory governance, legislative requirements, codes of practice and compliance requirements.
• Drivers licence.
• Construction Industry White Card (or ability to obtain).
• Current Australian Working Rights

Key Skills

• Excellent time management, prioritisation and self-management.
• Ability to effectively communicate to and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders demonstrating excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to continually challenge assumptions and methods and recommend initiatives.
