SQL DBA Lead / SDM with NV1

Role: DBA Lead / Service Delivery Manager

Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance

Onsite- 5 Days/Week

The DBA Lead / Service Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the technical database operations and data integrity of a mission-critical Engineering Application Suite. Key accountabilities include managing the functional database team, resolving escalated Level 3 and Level 4 technical issues, and ensuring high system availability during Normal Working Hours. The role involves proactive data stewardship to ensure all suite data is migration-capable for future integration into Strategic Digital Programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technology support team delivering specialized Level 3 and Level 4 database maintenance and enhancements..

• Manage database capacity, backups, and annual disaster recovery rehearsals for high-capacity SQL environments.

• Provide expert SME support to System Integrators for data quality profiling, remediation, and enrichment work.

• Lead the installation and upgrading of database software (SQL Server 2014/2019)

• Support the SIAM model by collaborating with other vendors to resolve cross-service risks and deliver end-to-end ICT services.

Required Skills and Expertise

• 10 years+ experience leading Technical Support Teams in a SIAM-based IT organization .

• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2014 Enterprise and 2019) and high-availability clusters.

• Proven track record in data management and migration planning for large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) uplifts.

Mandatory Requirements

• Active AGSVA NV1 Clearance (Required for privileged access to Protected environments).
