Senior Systems Engineer

Fantastic opportunity to join our team based in Hobart or Launceston and showcase your advanced automation and control system engineering skills.

You will have proven advanced design and delivery expertise in electrical engineering and/or control systems engineering. You will be accountable for successfully and competently delivering complex engineering solutions for projects within requirements, schedule and budget. You will provide mentoring and leadership and have the ability to lead a technical team to meet commissioning and testing deadlines.

In This Role You Will

• Lead a technical team through ongoing mentoring and development.
• Be accountable for the team’s performance in achieving schedule, quality and budget targets.
• Design and deliver technical solutions that meet the requirements and scope of the project.
• Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high risk items to management.
• Manage and promptly resolve commissioning and testing issues.
• Manage changes to the technical outcomes of the project.

Skills & Experience

• You will have an appropriate Electrical Engineering qualification combined with verifiable industry experience within automation and control systems.
• You will have demonstrable knowledge of good engineering practices and principles.
• Candidates with excellent communications skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders will be highly regarded.
• Strong PLC experience such as Siemens, Schneider or Rockwell is essential.
• Strong SCADA experience such as Ignition, Citect or GeoSCADA is essential.
