Backed by a publicly listed global parent company, this organisation operates multiple manufacturing sites across Australia and has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence. This opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of a long-standing employee after 16 years, creating an exciting opening for an experienced finance professional.

Your new role

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager with a dotted line to the General Manager, you will lead the finance function for a key manufacturing business unit and manage a small, experienced finance team. This is a highly commercial role that will see you partner closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain and sales leaders to drive performance and support strategic decision-making. Regular travel to a regional NSW manufacturing facility will be required to support stakeholders and lead your remote team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Financial reporting, compliance and corporate reporting requirements.
• Production accounting, inventory management and standard costing.
• Commercial analysis and business partnering with operational leaders.
• Leadership and development of the finance team.
• Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be CA/CPA qualified with proven experience in a manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, engineering or similarly operational environment.

You will also demonstrate:

• Strong management accounting, costing and inventory accounting experience.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting and reporting skills.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Strong ERP and systems capability.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• A hands-on and commercially focused approach.
