Management Accountant opportunity with established FMCG manufacturer in southside of Brisbane

Operating across the full production lifecycle from sourcing and processing through to packaging and distribution, the business has built a strong reputation for quality products, operational excellence and sustainable growth. With a significant manufacturing footprint and continued investment in systems, people and process improvement initiatives, they are entering an exciting phase of growth and are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, commercial analysis and operational insights. This position offers a genuine blend of management accounting, business partnering and manufacturing finance, providing exposure across multiple areas of the business. Working closely with operational leaders and senior management, you will help drive informed decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting and performance reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant looking to join a growing manufacturing environment where they can make a tangible impact.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Daily, weekly and monthly forecasting activities
• Variance analysis across materials, labour, overheads, sales and margins
• Inventory reporting and analysis to support operational performance
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Business partnering with manufacturing, operations and supply chain stakeholders
• Monitoring operational productivity and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting ERP reporting and data integrity initiatives
• Balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and financial controls
• Assisting with audit requirements and continuous improvement projects
• Providing commercial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making

What you'll need to succeed

• CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion)
• Previous experience in a Management Accountant position within manufacturing, food production or FMCG
• Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience
• Proven ability to analyse financial and operational performance data
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence operational and finance stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential
