About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Capability Lead to join a leading insurance organisation and support the successful adoption and embedding of Agile ways of working across the organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can go beyond traditional Agile coaching and actively drive the implementation of Agile practices, uplift team capability, and deliver measurable improvements in delivery performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with executives, senior leaders, delivery teams, and key stakeholders to strengthen Agile maturity, improve ways of working, establish effective delivery governance, and enable continuous improvement across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and adoption of Agile ways of working across multiple teams and business areas.
  • Coach delivery teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leaders to improve Agile capability and maturity.
  • Drive enterprise Agile transformation initiatives and support sustainable organisational change.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and executives to influence change and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Establish delivery governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, metrics, and performance dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery flow, remove impediments, and simplify processes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, collaboration, and outcome-focused delivery.
  • Measure and communicate improvements in Agile adoption, capability uplift, and delivery performance.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading enterprise Agile transformations, Ways of Working (WoW) implementations, and embedding Agile practices across multiple teams within complex organisations.
  • Strong background as an Agile Coach, Delivery Coach, Agile Transformation Lead, or Agile Capability Lead.
  • Experience partnering with executives and senior leaders to drive organisational change and Agile adoption.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and scaled Agile delivery approaches.
  • Experience establishing delivery governance, Agile metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, coaching, and influencing skills.

  • A hands-on, outcome-focused Agile practitioner who drives measurable improvements in delivery performance, Agile adoption, and capability uplift.
  • Pragmatic and lean-minded, with a focus on experimentation, continuous improvement, and simplifying complex ways of working.
  • Comfortable operating in complex environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
  • Action-oriented and able to create momentum and deliver progress quickly.
  • Confident challenging existing ways of working and enabling positive change.
  • Experience working within the insurance or financial services industry will be highly regarded.
