About Us: Redkite is a leading national children's cancer charity that provides emotional and mental health support, financial assistance and resources for families facing childhood cancer. Cancer is heartbreaking, traumatic and expensive and impacts every aspect of life for the child with cancer and their whole family. For over 40 years, Redkite has been a lifeline for these children and families, walking alongside them from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and beyond – both in hospital and in the community.
Position Summary: Redkite is seeking a dynamic and collaborative General Manager of Fundraising and Marketing to join the executive team. Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for leading an integrated fundraising and marketing function that drives sustainable income growth, supporter acquisition, engagement and retention across the organisation.
Building on the strong foundations established in recent years, the successful candidate will lead fundraising strategy and team capability across a diversified revenue portfolio. The role will play a critical part in aligning brand, audience engagement and revenue generation while contributing to the broader strategic leadership of Redkite.
Key Responsibilities
The GM of Fundraising and Marketing will:
- Lead an integrated fundraising portfolio spanning philanthropy, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising, face-to-face fundraising and fundraising-related marketing function.
- Develop and deliver strategies to grow and diversify sustainable revenue, supporter acquisition, engagement and retention.
- Contribute as a member of the Executive Team, bringing an organisation-wide lens to Redkite’s strategy, growth, impact and long-term sustainability.
- Strengthen relationships with major donors, partners and stakeholders, including working closely with the CEO and Board on high-value engagement.
- Oversee the optimisation of Redkite’s face-to-face fundraising program and other growth initiatives, supported by established agency partnerships.
- Build capability, accountability and performance across a geographically dispersed team.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will bring:
- Executive leadership experience across fundraising, supporter engagement or an equivalent commercial growth environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading diversified income, growth or customer/supporter acquisition programs.
- Strong people leadership capability, including the ability to coach managers, build team capability and drive performance.
- Credibility with senior external stakeholders, donors, corporate partners, executives and/or boards.
- Strong strategic, commercial and data-informed decision-making capability, with digital marketing experience highly regarded.
