About the role

Reporting to the Growth Marketing Manager, the Campaign Manager - Growth owns the full lifecycle of reader revenue campaigns across Private Media's brands, from concept and brief through to delivery, optimisation, and results.

This is a senior role with real scope. You'll independently ideate campaign concepts, manage execution across channels, track performance against targets, and make real-time adjustments to maximise impact. Your primary KPI is subscription growth and reader revenue.

Beyond subscriptions, you'll lead campaign work for our growing events portfolio and collaborate on other commercial activities, including webinars, competitions, surveys, and lead generation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design end-to-end campaign plans covering channel strategy, copy, creative direction and sequencing.
  • Deliver campaigns that hit free subscriber acquisition and paid conversion targets — proactively flagging risks or budget needs early.
  • Manage campaign delivery across email, social, paid media and owned web, writing clear and compelling copy and briefing the design team on creative.
  • Set measurable KPIs, actively adjust campaigns in-flight, and produce wrap reports that capture what worked and what to carry forward.
  • Provide regular input on paid media spend, targeting and channel mix, and bring at least one new campaign concept per quarter.
  • Plan and deliver events campaigns that drive awareness and ticket sales, meeting all commercial marketing deliverables on time.
  • Manage stakeholder communication, ensure briefs are signed off, and keep campaign status visible in Asana and Slack.

What you’ll bring

You'll thrive in this role if you're a strategic thinker who can move seamlessly between big ideas and precise execution.

  • 5+ years in campaign management with a track record of end-to-end ownership from concept through to delivery and optimisation.
  • A natural campaign ideator: you generate ideas, not just execute them.
  • Strong copywriting skills and being clear, concise, and effective across email, social, and web.
  • Digital fluency across Google Analytics, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and social and digital advertising.
  • A data-driven mindset: you use performance metrics to make decisions and adjust campaigns in-flight.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously with strong prioritisation
  • Clear, confident communication skills and a track record of influencing stakeholders across editorial, commercial and creative teams.
  • Previous experience in a subscription-based digital business or digital agency is highly regarded.

This is a full-time role, flexible working arrangement for 12 months. Salary to be commensurate with experience. Indicatively, we have banded the role at $90,000 to $110,000 + superannuation.

Inclusion statement

While the role is advertised as full-time, we wish to be flexible for the right candidate and believe that part-timers should always be given a go. We strongly encourage diverse candidates to apply, including people from multicultural backgrounds, LGBTQI+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders, people with disability, and over 45 years of age. We’re looking for the best possible talent to join us at Private Media, regardless of age, gender, religion, race, sexuality, education or physicality.
