Solution Designer

Job Overview

Six-month daily rate contract for a Solutions Designer with strong presales or solution design experience with modern Microsoft technologies, including Azure cloud. Come join a multiple award-winning company leading the way in the Azure cloud across Australasia and work closely with our clients & internal teams.

The Role

• Lead the high- level solution architecture and pre-sales engagement with clients.
• Respond to customer requests for information, develop and plan conceptual solution presentations and demonstrations, provide technical/product guidance in meetings.
• Design and develop customer solutions to address their requirements, including personally producing proposals and Statements of Work (SoW)
• Develop cost models, pricing and structuring solution elements in a financial model
• Work with business stakeholders, manage effective relationships, understand their issues & conceptualize appropriate technical solutions, in conjunction with the team.
• Price deals in line with technical scope, milestones and/or RFx response templates
• Review Design documents / As Built documents for alignment to high level solutions
• Be part of a team that manages the RFx tender and response processes

The Ideal Candidate

• Will have the rare combination of technical understanding in the Azure cloud space coupled with the ability to understand business requirements
• Top-notch written and spoken communication skills are essential for this role.
• Significant experience in solution design, architecture, client engagement and hands on delivery within the Azure cloud & DevOps environment.
• Pre-sales experience in Azure/ Cloud environments is ideal, must be comfortable doing technical presentations.
• An ongoing willingness to learn, upskill in cutting edge, train, coach and mentor
• Good general understanding of Azure cloud: IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS, Azure Devops & Automation, M365, Modern workplace technology such as AVD and Teams, Modern Networks & Cloud Networking, Data, AI and IoT on Azure cloud, Azure Sentinel, Defender products, LAW
