Paper Moose exists to create a world where good organisations reign supreme and we do this through delivering wildly effective work.
We're an independently owned full-service BCorp agency providing answers to our client's biggest problems. We thrive on creative problem-solving and are constantly striving for simplicity and clarity in a world that is not.
We launched our media offering about 3 years ago and have grown the offering based on our core belief that creativity is the last unfair advantage in media.
We are also actively building our AI capabilities. We use proprietary tools (including Moose Review, our synthetic audience testing platform) and AI-assisted workflows to move faster, test smarter, and push creativity further.
This is where you come in.
JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a DIGITAL MEDIA LEAD to lead the planning, buying, optimisation, and reporting of digital media campaigns across our client portfolio. You will be the bridge between creative ambition and media performance, ensuring our campaigns are not only brilliantly conceived but also rigorously effective.
You bring a deep understanding of paid social, programmatic, and search platforms, and you get excited by turning media strategy into measurable business outcomes. You will be the person who ensures our media investment is deployed with surgical precision, while also collaborating with our creative team to develop work that is genuinely platform-native and attention-worthy.
As the senior voice in our media offering, you will help shape the tools, processes, and eventually the team around you. You will report to the Head of Growth, Media & Digital. No direct reports, but this may change as the team grows.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Media Planning & Strategy: Develop full-funnel media strategies across channels, including audience planning, channel selection, and budget allocation.
Buying & Implementation: Set up, traffic, and manage campaigns across Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, and programmatic platforms (e.g., StackAdapt).
Optimisation: Continuously monitor and optimise campaigns for performance, including bidding strategies, creative testing, audience segmentation, and budget shifts.
Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain dashboards, analyse performance against KPIs, and translate data into actionable insights and client-ready narratives.
Client Leadership: Present media strategy, plans, and performance reviews to clients. Be the primary media contact on key accounts.
Creative Collaboration: Partner with creatives and strategists to develop platform-specific creative that performs, feeding performance insights back into the creative process.
Innovation: Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging channels, and the new AI-driven tools that we develop in-house.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years experience in digital media planning, buying, and optimisation across paid social, programmatic, and search (agency experience preferred).
Hands-on platform expertise: Meta Business Manager, Google Ads (Search, PMax, Display), TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Reddit Ads, and familiarity with programmatic/DSP platforms.
Proven track record managing six-figure media budgets and delivering against client KPIs (ROAS, CPA, CPM, reach, frequency).
Analytical fluency: Strong command of GA4, Google Looker Studio / Data Studio, Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, modelling), and comfort with attribution concepts.
Strategic mindset: Can translate business objectives into channel strategies and media plans. Experience with media mix considerations and testing frameworks.
Creative interest: Experience working with creative teams to develop and test platform-native creative, with an understanding of how creative impacts media performance.
Client-facing polish: Confident presenting media plans, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Commercial rigour: Experience with IOs, POs, media reconciliation, budget pacing, and ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and on budget.
AI & automation curiosity: Familiarity with AI-assisted media workflows, automated bidding, and synthetic testing approaches (we use Moose Review, our proprietary platform).
