You'll join a collaborative finance team that partners closely with business areas to provide value-added financial advice, planning and analysis.

Your new role

As an APS6 Finance Business Partner, you'll play a key role in supporting business areas through financial planning, analysis and decision support. Working within a high-performing finance team, you'll build strong stakeholder relationships and provide insights that influence financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building effective partnerships with business stakeholders to provide real-time financial support and advice
• Acting as a trusted adviser on current and future financial performance
• Developing and maintaining robust financial models to support planning and forecasting activities
• Contributing to the management of the department's internal budget
• Preparing financial reports and analysis for a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders
• Interpreting complex financial information and presenting insights to support decision-making
• Providing sound financial advice and guidance across a diverse stakeholder group

What you'll need to succeed

(Must be an Australian citizen with a minimum of Baseline security clearance)

To be successful in this APS6 Finance Business Partner role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting or financial analysis
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
• The ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate insights clearly
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• Experience partnering with business areas to support informed decision-making
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline will be highly regarded
