Your New Role
Are you an experienced relationship manager who enjoys building meaningful partnerships and creating positive outcomes for local communities?
Australian Military Bank is looking for a Regional Community Relationship Manager to strengthen our relationships with RSL and Legacy organisations, Defence contractors, charity partners and other community organisations connected to our bonded market.
This is a broad, hands on role that combines partnership management, business development, community engagement, event coordination and leadership. You’ll work closely with our regional distribution network and Marketing team to turn community partnerships into practical activities that support our members, communities and strategic objectives.
About The Role
You will take the lead in supporting the RSL Money brand and managing day to day relationships with RSL and Legacy State bodies and Sub -Branches. You’ll also help our regional teams identify and develop local partnerships, sponsorships and market opportunities.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
RSL & Legacy partnership management
- Support CMEDO in day-to-day relationship management for RSL Australia under the RSL Money brand.
- Lead the day-to-day relationship and account management with RSL States and Sub-Branches in conjunction with the Community Support Officer.
- Engage with RSL State and Sub-Branches to deliver education on the RSL Money brand and build the deposit portfolio that sits within the RSL Money brand.
- Engage with Legacy State and Sub-Branches to deliver education and build the deposit portfolio.
- Coordinate Bank attendance at key RSL & Legacy State and local events including but not limited to ANZAC and Remembrance Day commemorations as well as local fundraising efforts.
Localised event support
- Work with Regional Managers to support local area events.
- Work with the Corporate Community Partnership Manager and Regional Managers to support local events for the Bank’s corporate community partners.
- Work with marketing to support our local area community events with brand, marketing and product materials.
- Attend and represent the organisation at corporate and local area events where required.
- Support the Corporate Community Partnerships Manager to maintain a community calendar of local events.
- Assist in supporting the regions in delivering the Bank’s financial literacy program to localised partners.
- Support local volunteering opportunities with the Corporate Community Partnerships Manager for our corporate partnerships.
- Localised budget, reporting and sponsorship management
- Manage distribution team’s sponsorship and marketing budget including monthly reporting to the CMEDO.
- Review and approve local sponsorship requests received via the marketing team from the Bank’s website, ensuring they align to budget and strategic requirements.
- Support the Corporate Community Partnerships Manager to manage the community KPI for the corporate scorecard including local sponsorship investment and volunteer hours.
Business development
- Identify and build relationships with Defence Contractors and other community associated organisations in regional locations.
- Support the product & marketing team in the development and promotion of value propositions for the Defence Contractor segment and other segments as identified.
- Support Regions in delivering the Bank’s value propositions to Defence contractors and other community related partners in regional localities.
People Leadership and management
- Lead, motivate and develop the skillset of the Community Support Officer.
- Lead the Corporate strategic priority of Community within the Distribution channel and showcase outcomes to the wider bank
About You
You are a confident and authentic relationship builder who can work effectively with community organisations, internal stakeholders and senior leaders. You are equally comfortable developing new opportunities, coordinating events, managing budgets and reporting on outcomes.
You Will Ideally Bring
- At least 2 years’ experience in community partnerships, relationship management, business development or a similar role
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated business development and partnership management capability
- Experience coordinating community activities, events or sponsorships
- The ability to manage budgets, reporting and multiple priorities
- Lead, coach and develop the Community Support Officer to build their skills and capability
- Tier 2 Financial Services accreditation
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
- Knowledge of the Australian Defence Force, Defence community or not for profit sector would be highly regarded
