Senior Accountant Role

Role Description

SME Restructuring is seeking a dedicated Insolvency Senior Accountant for a full-time, on-site position located in Sydney, NSW. The successful candidate will handle insolvency cases, prepare reports, learn from great mentors, assist in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements as well as assist in the office. The role involves participating in a high performing team, delivering timely & quality work, learning all things insolvency, meeting stakeholder expectations while also collaborating closely on strategic cases and business recovery solutions with the practitioner.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting
  • Proficiency in using Accounting Softwares and in applying Finance concepts
  • Exceptional Analytical Skills to assess financial data and develop restructuring/recovery strategies
  • 1-2+ years experience in insolvency, restructuring, and business recovery is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a team environment effectively, with strong organizational and dedication to learning skills
  • University Bachelors degree required with the intention of attaining CA qualification and/or ARITA certificate (with firm support)
  • Excellent written, reporting and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Australian regulatory compliance in accounting and insolvency processes
