About The Role
The Health Information Services department is looking for a highly motivated & innovative individual to join the team as a Scanning Quality Officer. This position is responsible for maintaining a scanning quality program and assisting in achieving a high level of scanning quality to support patient care, meet industry key performance indicators and to facilitate destruction of source records. The role calls for applicants who can demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with demonstrated proficiency in delivering effective training and an eye for detail and data analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a robust quality program for clinical record scanning incorporating.
- Collect, analyse and report of scanning quality and activity data and HIS KPIs.
- Quality checking (QC) scanned medical record content.
- Feedback of quality audits to scanning staff.
- Documentation of scanning quality program.
- Assistance and promotion of achieving and maintaining scanning quality KPIs.
Skills & Experience
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering effective training and constructive feedback to staff.
- Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking in identifying and resolving problems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers enabling the correct and timely information to be added into the Electronic Digital Record.
- Previous experience in scanning & digital medical records is desirable, but not essential.
