Osborne Legal is looking for a Junior Family Lawyer to join our Dubbo team. Whether you’ve recently been admitted or have up to three years’ experience, we’ll give you the mentoring, variety and hands-on opportunities you need to become an excellent family lawyer.

What you’ll be doing

Family law is never dull. Your days will include:

• Helping clients navigate separation, parenting and property matters
• Drafting advice, agreements, court documents and correspondence
• Holding client conferences and assisting with negotiations
• Appearing in court as your skills and confidence grow
• Learning from experienced lawyers who remember what it’s like to be junior
• Gradually running your own matters—with support close by when you need it

You might be our person if you:

• Hold, or are eligible to hold, an NSW practising certificate
• Can explain complicated things in normal human language
• Combine empathy with a cool head and good judgement
• Notice the small details without losing sight of the big picture
• Enjoy working with people and don’t take yourself too seriously
• Want to build a genuine career in family law

Family-law experience would be terrific, but it isn’t essential. Enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to learn matter just as much. Newly admitted lawyers are encouraged to apply.
