Intermediate Accountant

A dynamic and innovative accounting practice is expanding its Business Advisory and Tax team and is seeking to appoint an Intermediate Accountant. This position suits someone with 2–3 years' experience in Australian public practice who is working towards their CA or CPA qualification and eager to build their skills across a diverse client base in Adelaide and surrounding areas.

The Role

• Assist in managing a varied portfolio of clients, with exposure to agribusiness and rural enterprises
• Prepare BAS, IAS and FBT lodgements under supervision
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns, including Div 7A, CGT and FBT calculations
• Support the delivery of proactive advice to help clients improve performance and plan for the future
• Contribute to business advisory projects alongside experienced team members
• Liaise with the ATO and other external stakeholders as required
• Maintain accurate and compliant client records
• Begin building client relationships under the guidance of senior staff

The Individual

• 2-3 years' experience within an Australian public practice environment
• Currently working towards CA or CPA qualification
• Some exposure to agribusiness or primary production clients is advantageous but not essential
• Sound technical knowledge with developing analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills with a willingness to grow in client-facing situations
